I have a tendency to tweet completely random thoughts throughout the course of my afternoon regarding all things in the realm of writing, makeup, and weight loss. I am an expert in none, but highly opinionated in all. I see twitter as a way to let us little people connect with the big ones and to make are opinions heard.
In one of my completely random fits when I was stalking the Sigma Beauty site for the next brush I was going to drool over, I navigated to a page that had the full set in pink. Simone, being the evil genius that she is, recently made it so we, the consumer, can purchase her brushes individually. Trying to be the smart beauty consumer, I am constantly looking for products that appeal to this closet diva while also satisfying my inner Scrooge. I looked at her site and clicked on the pink brush set, feeling somewhat melancholy that I already owned all of the brushes she was selling and I had no use for a brush roll.
The idea that came next, flooded my senses like a freight train rushing past at a railroad crossing. The idea was so obvious, I was blinded for a moment by the sheer simplicity of it. I immediately tweeted this to Simone, because unlike MOST companies, she actually listens to her clients.
I simply told her if she made handles of different colors (I remember seeing her tweet a while back about different colors - purple, teal, dark pink, etc) and made them available for customers to choose from, she'd make a fortune. So many people compare Sigma to MAC brushes and I think with a different color handle, they'd be be less inclined to do so, but at the same time - I just want the choice.
Out of random chance or maybe it was that luck was on my side, I was given the chance to try out a pink handled brush. I chose the F30 which is a large powder brush. I use it all the time so having more than one makes it easier for me to maintain. The quality was the same, the shape just a smidgen a bit different. I noticed the more I used the pink brush, the fuller the brush became, resembling more and more original powder brush I had.
Bottom line: If they were sold individually I can promise you over time, I'd buy them ALL!! Those of us that love makeup and all things beauty don't just wear one color - we live our life in Technicolor and not black and white! Having a variety of colors for my brushes, makes it easier for me to decipher one brush from another, reducing my frustration in times of need, and eliminating me having to paint my brushes with finger nail polish. I've got my fingers and toes crossed that one day I will be placing an order for a purple or pink E20.
If it can be done - then Sigma will do it!
What color would you buy?
